a chance to pause for a moment...
|
It is sometimes good to take a moment to just pause, rest
for a moment, and sit to reflect on the sheer joy of just being
alive.
This moment is special. There is plenty of time to finish the journey that
has brought you this way.....

Some of my Concerns...
(that could use more attention) |

World population
Approximate
number of people currently living
on earth. -->
We must change the way we live (especially US!) if we are to avoid
severe problem due to this rapid population
growth. By my 75th birthday, there is projected to be over 10
Billion people on earth........

(some concerns a little closer to my heart)
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) &
Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
|
|
TBI and SCI can happen to anyone at any time. They are caused by
automobile accidents, falls, assaults, and other common occurrences.
The effect on the survivors and their loved ones is astounding,
and the challenges they face are sometimes overwhelming. In some
cases, these life-changing injuries can produce a great deal of
good.

Domestic Violence
|
It is sad how many close relationships are the stage for tremendous
violence, in repeating cycles that often last generations. These cycles
must be broken so those affected can be mended. No child ever grows
up wanting to be an abuser or to be abused. More info: Kathy's
Resources.
One way that i help to work to prevent more domestic violence is through
my work teaching conflict resolution with Peacemakers.
